Historically, the Bridge of Weir roots can be traced back to 1758, seven generations of family involvement in leather manufacture. Throughout, they benefited from Scotland’s advantages of an indigenous skills base, prime beef herds and a plentiful supply of soft, pure water.
Bridge of Weir Leather Company is the UK’s only leather manufacturer for the automotive industry, and as part of the Scottish Leather Group operates one of the largest tanneries in Europe exporting to over 60 countries around the world.
