GAP Hire Solutions Expands Fleet With Groundhog’s New Fusion Pulse

GAP Hire Solutions is expanding its fleet with two advanced welfare units from Groundhog, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to sustainability, efficiency, and high-quality on-site facilities.

The new units include:

  • Single axle GP360 Fusion Pulse (3.6m)

  • Twin axle GPO660 Fusion Pulse (6.6m) with twin toilet facilities

These units are packed with smart, sustainable features. A roof-mounted solar panel system and the innovative Fusion Pulse balanced power system actively monitor battery levels, ensuring the on-board generator is only used when needed. This can cut generator use by up to 90%, reducing noise, fuel consumption, and servicing costs.

Additional features include:

  • Double inverter sockets with built-in USB-C charging

  • 12V socket for cool boxes or fridges

  • On-board telematics to track usage and report on CO₂e emissions

  • Enhanced interior design customised for GAP, including company colours and stainless- steel worktops

  • Generator use limited to kettle, microwave, and on-board water heating

Together, these features make sites quieter, cleaner, and more efficient, reducing emissions, fuel use, and running costs while improving site conditions.

GAP Hire Solutions will be launching these new Fusion Pulse units at Plantworx 2025. Visitors are invited to see them in action at stands G-01 and G-03.

David Munro, Head of Asset Management and Supply Chain at GAP Hire Solutions commented:

“These new welfare units represent a significant step forward for GAP in delivering sustainable and high-quality on-site solutions. The Fusion Pulse system not only reduces emissions and fuel consumption but also improves comfort and convenience for our customers."

"We’re excited to showcase them at Plantworx 2025 and demonstrate our ongoing commitment to innovation in hire solutions.”

Paul Ratcliffe, CEO at Groundhog said,

“We are extremely excited to start our new partnership with GAP Group, we believe our joint family values align, being quality, sustainability and service allowing us to form a strong relationship going forward.”

Peter Beach, Sales and Marketing Director at Groundhog added, “We’re proud to partner with GAP Group in supplying innovative, sustainable mobile site welfare units. Groundhog and GAP share the goal of reducing site emissions and driving a more sustainable future. Through our training and service support, we’ll ensure seamless delivery of welfare units to sectors across the UK.”

The Fusion Pulse units will be available across GAP’s network of depots in the coming weeks.
