FBU Launches Free Marketing Health Check For Family Firms

Family Business United ('FBU') has teamed up with Mighty Atoms to offer a free marketing health check to family businesses.

In today’s competitive and challenging economic landscape, businesses are constantly seeking ways to optimise their operations. One critical area of focus is marketing effectiveness.

Mighty Atoms joined FBU in December last year and to start off the relationship they have developed a valuable new service—a free marketing health check.

The partnership aims to help family-owned businesses assess and improve their marketing strategies, ensuring they are both efficient and impactful.

"This new partnership with FBU is designed to give members access to marketing expertise, with the health check being the first to launch," said Tim Gambrill, co-owner of Mighty Atoms.

"We understand that businesses are under pressure to drive short-term profitability, and one way to achieve that is by optimising marketing activity to get the most out of it.”

The marketing health check is a quick and easy tool, taking only around five minutes to complete. It provides an overall score, as well as a view of strengths and areas for improvement. The check also includes a section focusing on family business heritage, something that has proven to be highly effective in gaining trust. Research shows that companies that emphasize their family business origins in marketing are 80% more trusted by consumers than those that do not.

Mighty Atoms developed this unique section in collaboration with FBU and upon completion of the health check are offering a complimentary follow up discussion to explore the results further.

Paul Andrews, CEO of FBU, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: "This initiative is a fantastic opportunity for our members to access valuable insights in an area that can drive business benefit. The marketing health check is just the beginning, and we look forward to working with Mighty Atoms to bring more valuable resources to businesses.”

Tim Gambrill continued: “We recognise that in some cases businesses are looking to reduce their sales and marketing investment so reviewing capabilities could offer a route to improving effectiveness whilst maintaining or reducing marketing budgets."
