GAP Hire Solutions is the UK’s largest independent equipment rental company, hiring out a range of equipment from our eight divisions to industries including construction, utilities and events.
Founded in 1969 by his Dad, Gordon Anderson, the company is still family owned with Iain and his brother Douglas running the business as Joint Managing Directors since 1988 and they are extremely proud to now have four third-generation family members working at GAP.
Iain has a really positive leadership style and this is a family company that continues to go from strength to strength as a result. Iain is an active member of the family business community and is always prepared to offer an insight or assistance to his peers. He continues to navigate the business to new milestones and is totally deserving of his place in the Family Business Top 100.
