Family Business Top 100 Launched To Celebrate People In UK Family Firms
Family Business United (FBU), the independent media, membership and advocacy platform for the family business community, today announces the launch of the Family Business Top 100, a new campaign to find and celebrate the 100 people making the greatest difference to family business across the UK.
Nominations are now open to anyone working within a UK family business, whether a member of the owning family or not. Up to three nominations can be made per family business in the UK. Entries can be submitted by colleagues, relatives, business contacts or the nominees themselves, and will be assessed by an independent judging panel of family business leaders, advisers and academics.
Recognising The People Behind The Names Above The Door
Family businesses are the backbone of the British economy, providing employment, anchoring local communities and taking the long term view that so many other businesses aspire to. Yet the individuals who drive them forward often go unrecognised. The Family Business Top 100 sets out to change that, shining a spotlight on the leaders, innovators and quiet achievers who are shaping the future of family enterprise.

Nine Categories Reflecting What Makes Family Business Special
Nominees can be entered into any of nine categories, designed to reflect the distinctive strengths and challenges of family business:
Inspiring Leader recognises those who have created wealth and stable employment while staying true to the values that built their business.
Succession Champion celebrates those who have led a successful transition between generations.
Governance Champion honours those who have brought structure and clarity to how their family business is run.
Innovator recognises those who have reinvented products, processes or markets, proving heritage and innovation go hand in hand.
Sustainability Steward celebrates those driving progress towards Net Zero and responsible practice.
Values and Purpose Champion honours those who put purpose, people and community at the heart of their business.
Unsung Hero recognises those, often from outside the family, whose loyalty and expertise underpin the success of others.
Next Generation Pioneer celebrates those aged 35 or under already making an impact beyond their years.
Lifetime Contribution honours an individual whose career has shaped both their business and the wider family business community.
