Coopers Beers Shine In Hottest 100

Australian beer lovers have voted and Coopers has taken out five coveted positions in the prestigious GABS Hottest 100.

Coopers Original Pale Ale was named in 7th position overall in The Great Australasian Beer Spectapular held over the weekend. It was another strong performance by Coopers’ best selling beer, rising from 8th position in the previous year.

Coopers Sparkling Ale also moved up the list, coming in at 21 and five spots higher than last year.

Coopers Australian Lager, which was launched in August, made the list at 61 in its first year while XPA featured at 69 and Best Extra Stout at 87, up from 93rd spot.

Coopers also achieved 4 additional spots in the top 200 for Pacific Pale Ale, Mild Ale, Vintage Ale 2023 and Dark Ale. Australian Lager also gained mention in the New Releases of 2023.

In total 436 breweries had beers nominated and voted for in the 16th edition of the annual GABS Hottest 100 Craft Beer poll. Coopers General Manager Michael Shearer said:

“This is a great result for Coopers amongst extremely strong competition. Having 5 of our beers selected in the top 100 is fantastic plus an additional 4 in the top 130."

“This is a great reflection on how much consumers in Australia appreciate a good beer. We thank everyone for choosing Coopers beer. It means a lot to us.”
