Responsibilities in your new role
This is a hands-on opportunity to develop skills across all aspects of managing painting and decorating contracts. You’ll be involved in customer liaison, surveying, estimating, cost control, and overseeing projects from initial enquiry through to completion and final account agreement.
With support from an experienced mentor, you’ll gain practical experience in a busy contracting environment. As you progress, you’ll have the opportunity to manage your own projects and build your own client base.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
You’ll have a minimum of five GCSEs at grades A*–C (or equivalent), including English and Maths, along with a full UK driving licence. You’ll be motivated to build a career in project or contract management, with a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service.
Strong communication, good numerical ability, and confidence using Microsoft Office are essential. You’ll be proactive, able to use your initiative, and comfortable working independently.
While not essential, any previous work experience, further education (such as AS/A2 levels), or a construction-related qualification would be beneficial.
