Responsibilities in your new role as Café Bistro Chef
As the Café Bistro Chef, you'll work in a fast-paced kitchen ensuring service runs smoothly, maintaining excellent food standards, and contribute to the efficient day-to-day operations of the kitchen. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and cooking a variety of fresh café and bistro-style dishes to a consistently high standard
Supporting the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen during busy service periods
Maintaining exceptional standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and health & safety
Assisting with stock control, food production, and kitchen organisation
Minimising waste and ensuring ingredients are used efficiently
Working closely with the front-of-house team to deliver an outstanding customer experience
Contributing to a positive, supportive, and professional kitchen environment
Your personality, experience and qualifications
We're looking for an organised and passionate chef who is a team player with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding service. You will bring:
Previous experience as a Chef within a café, bistro, or other busy hospitality environment
Confidence preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality dishes
The ability to work efficiently under pressure without compromising on quality
A strong understanding of food hygiene, health & safety, and HACCP procedures
Excellent organisational and time management skills
A proactive approach with a willingness to support colleagues during busy service
