Family Business United is delighted to announce that George Wills, Littles Chauffeur Drive Limited has been awarded a 2025 Family Business Lifetime Achievement Award.
George has been the driving force behind the family firm since its inception in 1966, when he and his brother purchased a three car taxi firm which has since grown into one of Scotland’s most respected and luxury chauffeur services firms.
It is his entrepreneurial spirit, hands on leadership and unwavering commitment to excellence that has driven this evolution.
His entrepreneurial flair saw him become one of the founding members of the International Limousine Association and placed the business on the global stage.
He has always been a forward thinker, planning the future of the business, mentoring the next generation in the succession process in a way that others would love to be able to do, paving the way for the next generation to continue to take the business forward and create a continuing legacy of which he remains proud today.
George has proven himself as a genuine pioneer of the sector with his skills and contributions spanning operational excellence, international expansion, family business leadership and the creation of a strong values based culture. His lifetime service to the family firm which saw them triumph through some of the most challenging of times, including the Gulf War, multiple recessions and changing global travel trends has left a truly lasting mark and a fantastic legacy too.
His core belief in contributing meaningfully to the world around the business remains today too with a deep rooted desire to use his position, voice and time to support and uplift others, particularly within Glasgow and the wider Scottish community, including a long standing relationship with the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice.
As Paul Andrews, Founder and CEO of Family Business United explains, "He is another family business great, a truly passionate individual whose impact goes far beyond the business."
"He is recognised as a pillar of the community, deeply committed to Glasgow and its people and the business that he has created is a special one too, not just a company to him but something that was, and to this day is, his life."
"His story is one of family, loyalty, innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, humility and genuine care and he is totally deserving of the Lifetime Achievement Award being bestowed on him."
