Company Description

I love helping families find a shared purpose to the issues that can seem impossible to tackle such as;

  • How to treat everyone fairly, whether they are actively involved in the business or not?
  • Who should manage the business after me?
  • What’s in the best interest of the business?  How to reward non-family directors and managers.
  • Who is family? How to look after in-laws and grandchildren
  • How to divide family business assets on divorce

To me, family businesses involve a considerably greater number of important people, far beyond simply those family members operating the business.  I work with families to look at the interests of family shareholders not actively involved as well as balancing the long-term interests of the various generational priorities.

Not many business families see their personal lives to be easily dealt with by solving technical problems.

They may need to be making decisions on the transfer of wealth and power whilst being considerate of both family and the business.

By helping families to grasp the seemingly nettle-like issues, I can free them up to focus on the resulting shared vision and shared family values  which ultimately benefits both the business and the family.

We can help with the commercial aspects of your business such as financial and management reporting, structuring and ownership, corporate tax and succession. And we can advise on personal finance matters like wealth management and inheritance tax.

But we’re much more than just a trusted business and financial adviser. We’re counsellors, mentors, an impartial sounding board and an empathetic ear when you’re facing the difficult decisions that running a family business can throw at you.

If any of this resonates with you, I’d love to talk to you.
