December 11 To 15, 2023 - The Family Business Festive Food Bank

Take part in our 2023 charity initiative - a national campaign that will have a local impact. Sharing food and nourishing others is one of the simplest, most powerful ways of showing we care and we are working with organisations across the UK to redistribute food to grassroots communities that help to feed some of the most deserving and vulnerable people across the UK.
Food is something that brings people together and over which memories are created, businesses discussed and plans nurtured. How often do we hear stories of how the business was always the focus of conversations around the kitchen table, the heart of the family and the birthplace of so many great British family firms?
Our vision for the 2023 campaign is The Family Business Festive Food Parcel to bring the community together to celebrate as a force for good nationally and to make a tangible difference locally.
Marketing collateral (social media tiles, posters and suggested social media posts) and other ideas for getting involved are also available to everyone getting involved.
There are a number of ways to get involved:
Make a Donation - Simply select the ticket option and make a donation which will then be used to purchase food staples for an organisation that helps address food poverty in the region. Our team will purchase the items and arrange for the donation and issue a certificate to confirm the donation.
Host a Food Bank Collection - Use the marketing materials provided and bring your community together to encourage donations of food products that can then be shared with the organisations on the ground. We will be sharing details of regional collection hubs (family businesses and FBU members) who will collate the items regionally which will then be collected by the charity. Details of the most preferred items will also be made available to those signing up to the campaign, together with the marketing pack.
Join us at a Regional Event - We are using the week commencing December 11 as the focus for the campaign and are hosting a number of in person events where there will be networking, tours and an opportunity to get together in the run up to the festive season. Anyone that has a Food Bank Collection will be welcome to join us to drop it off and anyone else is welcome to attend and join us for the event - All that we ask is that rather than purchasing a ticket guests arrive with a food parcel to put 'under the tree.' Our team will be at each of the events to chat, sort the donation and host the event too and the charity will be attending to collect the donation on the day too.
Events taking place are:
Sound Leisure (Leeds) 9.30am on Tuesday December 12. Join us for a festive coffee and bacon bap surrounded by the UK manufactured juke boxes (which will be playing festive tunes) before a tour of the factory with the family business owner, Chris Black.
Hayman's Gin (SW London) 4.00pm on Wednesday December 13. Join us for a festive networking event at the oldest family owned gin distillery in London where you can see where the gin is made and chat to guests, including members of the Hayman family.
Caribbean Blinds (Suffolk) 11.30am on Thursday December 14. Join us for a networking event with drinks and a turkey bap as the new show gardens are unveiled to the public, see the factory and meet the Dantzic family too.
We would love as many people to get involved as possible and want to extend our thanks to the teams at Sound Leisure, Hayman's Gin and Caribbean Blinds for hosting events. In addition, thanks to our friends and supporters at Brooks Macdonald and Western Pension Solutions for their support and sponsorship of this event.

All we need you to do to get involved is to use the ticket options to make a donation, sign up to confirm that you are hosting a Festive Food Parcel Collection and/or to sign up to confirm attendance at one of the in person events so that we can manage the numbers!
We look forward to bringing the family business community together and making difference this festive season.
