Race Day For Hepworth Honda

12th July 2018 Paul Andrews

Employees from Hepworth Honda, based in Huddersfield, enjoyed a celebratory trip to the Wetherby races in aid of their long-standing service at the car dealer.

Collectively, the team has served over 300 hours.

The Hepworth Honda team sponsored the sixth race which meant managing director, Stephen Brighton, had the pleasure of presenting the Hepworth Honda Celebration Handicap Trophy to the winner, Spanish Main.

Hepworth Honda was founded by Frank Brighton in Kirkburton who believed that if you look after your employees, in turn they will look after the customers. The longest serving employee is Martin Holbrook, a technician who has been at the dealership for 49 years, one of the longest serving technicians in the Honda UK dealer network.

Stephen Brighton commented: “At Hepworth Honda we want to celebrate the work and dedication of our staff, and we couldn’t think of a better way than a day trip to the Wetherby Races. It’s important for us to recognise individual team members and reward their loyalty. We believe that my father’s ethos is the reason why so many of our staff members have stayed with us for more than 20 years.”

Now located on Leeds Road in Huddersfield, the dealership has recently undergone a £100,000 upgrade to prepare for the next decade of business, along with the electrification of Honda cars.
