Kids 1st celebrate with the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers
Kids 1st, the North East nursery company marked its tenth year in business with a balloon release by longstanding staff, children from its first nursery and Royal Regiment of Fusiliers – Corps of Drums of the North East Infantry Regiment.
The event at Kids 1st Rake Lane, North Shields, is only the start of the celebrations for the family run nursery company; throughout the year children, parents and staff will be treated to events, competitions and gifts to commemorate this landmark anniversary. The highlight of the year however will be the opening of the tenth Kids 1st nursery at Bowesfield in Stockton.
Kids 1st opened its first nursery in March 2004 in the grounds of North Tyneside General Hospital, swiftly followed by its second nursery in Wansbeck. With nine outstanding Ofsted reports the nurseries are well known throughout the region for leading the way in childcare and for the last three years have been named ‘The Highest Quality Childcare Providers in the UK’ by Nursery World.
Mark McArdle, Managing Director of Kids 1st said: “The last ten years have been amazing; we have achieved so much and the company continues to go from strength-to-strength."
"I am so proud to see so many of our staff still working with us today, some started out as Nursery Assistants and are now Managers. That says a lot for their hard work, dedication and love for the children they care for."
Outstanding features of the nurseries include: Nutritious, homemade meals, dedicated Pre-Schools, large, exciting outdoor play areas, interactive whiteboards, CCTV and fingerprint security, French and dance classes and a Coffee to Go Breakfast Service for parents.
Allison Winship, Head of Childcare at the Kids 1st, is also delighted to be part of the ten year celebrations: “It feels like only yesterday that we opened Kids 1st Rake Lane and now here we are celebrating ten years in business, that’s lots of children we have cared for! It has been a pleasure to watch the children and staff develop over the years and I am really looking forward to see what the future holds for the next ten years.”
