ESF Continues Winning Streak

12th February 2018 Paul Andrews

Environmental Street Furniture (ESF) has continued their winning streak by picking up a further two awards at the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) regional awards.

The company was awarded ‘Business Exporter of the Year’ for showing exceptional export achievements, contributing to both the local and global economy and ‘Business and Product Innovation’ for the recently launched Stellar Bench, an innovative new product designed and manufactured by ESF in Northern Ireland.

The FSB awards seek to celebrate the success of smaller business owners and reflect the diversity and drive of British businesses, from every sector and region throughout the UK.

Speaking about the company’s success, ESF Managing Director, Alan Lowry said, “We’ve been growing the company for the last five years and have worked across the globe from Malta to Miami and Azerbaijan to Astana providing street, themed and solar products across many industries including the theme park industry."

“To be recognised with these awards is a wonderful achievement and to walk away with not one, but two awards at the FSB awards is even more satisfying. The incredible work by the ESF team is being recognised both in the UK and globally and makes all the hard work very worthwhile. We have some very exciting projects in the year ahead and look forward to continued growth.”

The FSB judges said, “Environmental Street Furniture were worthy winners in two categories at this year’s FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards. In addition to their innovative products and their clear success in selling abroad, the company’s deliberate commitment to sourcing from within the local SME supply chain was a telling factor. Their ambition clearly extends to helping other local businesses around them and served to mark them out as exactly the sort of business that Northern Ireland needs to foster and promote. We congratulate them on their double success and wish them well as they progress to the UK finals in May.”

Following their success at the regional FSB Awards, ESF will now go forward to represent Northern Ireland in both categories at the prestigious National Awards Ceremony taking place in London in May.

Based in Greater Belfast, ESF designs and supplies a range of street, themed and solar powered products, which are exported to over 22 countries globally and located in a number of the world’s most popular theme parks.

The Stellar bench, a versatile outdoor bench equipped with state-of-the-art features that include USB mobile device charging, Wi-Fi capabilities and LED lighting, was awarded ‘Product of the Show’ at the Innovate UK exhibition in Birmingham. ESF also won the ‘International Award’ at the prestigious UTV Business Eye Awards that took place in November.
