Dual View Dumpers For GAP Group

11th December 2019 Paul Andrews

GAP Group’s investment in 6t and 9t swivel Dual View dumpers is rapidly increasing to meet on-going high utilisation levels from a wide range of industrial sectors.

Since the hire company’s initial investment in this new, innovative product at the start of 2019, customer demand has been significant.

Ken Stewart, GAP’s Head of Procurement, commented: “We placed a forecast order with Wacker Neuson last year to secure production capacity as being a new innovative product, we expected interest and subsequent demand to be high. This product offers significant productivity and safety-related benefits and to date has been well received by both depots and customers.”

The rotating driving console on the swivel skip site dumper enables the driver to face the direction of travel whether going backwards or forwards. This means the operator always has a perfect view during transport, loading and tipping.

Ken continued: “No other manufacturer can offer this product which is testimony to the forward vision of the design and engineering teams at Wacker Neuson, Linz, Austria where the machines are manufactured. We are now experiencing a steady shift in demand from cabbed to dual view dumpers.”

After being one of the first hire companies to supply this high-performance machine, the Wacker Neuson Dual View dumper is the newest addition to GAP’s extensive fleet of ROPS and cabbed dumpers ranging in size from one to 10 tonnes and offering high discharge, forward tip and swivel skip variants.

One of GAP’s aims is to deliver market-leading investment year-on-year. With an increasing intention to continue the growth and success of the hire company, which already has over 140 depots across the UK, this investment is precisely the way to achieve this.
