Chauffeur Drive Firm Invests

4th January 2019 Paul Andrews

Award winning chauffeur drive company, Little’s, has boosted their significant Eco-Fleet after taking delivery of a number of new Mercedes plugin cars.

Little’s, established in Glasgow in 1966 and now operating worldwide, has always been committed to the sustainable future of the business and this investment means that over 40% of their fleet is now made up of hybrid vehicles.

The family run business, known for providing high-end services to international figures, Heads of States and large corporate enterprises, said the new additions would take them a step closer to their goal of having an all hybrid fleet by 2022.

Heather Matthews, Managing Director of Little’s commented: “This latest purchase underlines our commitment to sustainable growth and investment in the future of the company. The recent technological advances in electric vehicles allow us to incorporate them in increasing numbers on fleet, secure in the knowledge that as well as their green credentials, clients will still experience the luxury they expect from a Little’s car.”

The Mercedes E Class Plug-in Hybrid can drive 14 miles on battery alone and the model’s E-Mode allows the car to be driven by the electric motor only; ideal for inner city areas as well as low emission zones. When operating in this mode, the vehicles are near silent, providing travelling passengers with added luxury and comfort and enabling corporate clients to relax or work in a quiet environment.

“We have seen a marked increase in the focus of large corporations on reducing their impact on the environment when it comes to business travel, so it is a natural progression for us to update our fleet to meet the demands of those clients,” Heather added.

As the company continues to reinvest in its growing fleet, the conscious decision to go hybrid has been backed by Little’s corporate clients who are looking to work with businesses committed to reducing their carbon footprint.
